Easy step by step guide for Order Tiger Admin Dashboard - Creating An Option Group
You can create as many option groups as you want for a product.
Each product can have as many options as desired. The options can be different from product to product. For example, one product can use serving, flavours, and extras, and another product can use size, toppings and sides.
The option groups and option limits can only be increased by using a Minimum Values (min choice) and Maximum Values (max choice).
An example of a product with one option would be Fried Rice with selection of meat as an option:
Product Name - Fried Rice
Product Description - Wok fried rice with egg, spring onion, carrot, green peas, thinly cut lettuce and a drop of sesame oil. Please choose your meat from the option box.
Option Group - meat option (in this option group you would list all the meat options such as chicken, shrimp, beef or king prawn).
To add a product with an option group from your menu you simply need to follow the following steps:
1. Click Menu
2. Scroll down to Option Groups
3. Click on blue button “Add Option Group”
4. Choose Menu
5. Add Identifier Name
Identifier names are important for price update and knowing which option group has been used with which product
6.1 Min Choice values can be 0, 1 or 2 or whatever the minimum selection a customer can choose. In this example we put 0 as the customer can choose to add meat or not.
6.2 Max Choice value can be 1, 2, 3, or whatever the maximum selection a customer can choose. In this example we put 1 as the customer can only choose to add one type of meat.
After you save the option group created, you will see it displayed on the Option Group page .
This option group can be re-used and added to all products that have meat options with same price.
